Blue Cheese Bacon Dates


These are incredible, you won’t be sorry! I used THIS RECIPE from Allrecipes as the base and changed it slightly.


4 oz. softened cream cheese (regular or fat free)
8 oz. blue cheese crumbles
1 large package dried dates
1 package bacon, slices divided into 3


Preheat oven to 375 and line a cookie sheet with foil for easy clean up. Spray with a light mist of cooking spray.

In a bowl, mix the soft cream cheese and blue cheese until well blended. Pinch open your dates and use a small spoon to fill them with the cheese mixture. I fill all of my dates first, and then wrap.

Once all dates have been filled, wrap each in 1/3 piece of bacon. You can either rest them seam side down on the pan, or secure with a toothpick. Bake for about 40 minutes or until the bacon is cooked, turning over half way.

Serve with a dipping sauce of reduced balsamic vinegar and sugar (to taste) if desired, though there is not one needed.
